Hypnotherapy

Although hypnosis has been around for a few hundred years, most people still have an old perception of what it is. There are those that still think that when under hypnosis, that the hypnotist can make them do things. During our first hypnosis session together I’ll educate you about the prime directives of the unconscious mind. One of them is that it’s highly moral based on the moralities that you were taught and accepted growing up. So unless you are okay with stealing and threatening others with weapons, I can’t make you rob a bank.

There are also those who have a belief that they can’t be hypnotized. Something else we’ll do during your first hypnosis session, is some fun exercises to show you that you can be hypnotized, as everyone can. The question we’ll find out is how deep you’ll allow yourself to go being that 20% of people who allow themselves to go under hypnosis will go into a light trance, 60% into a medium trance, and 20% into a deep trance.  Those who allow themselves to go into any level of trance get to benefit from how hypnotherapy addresses any number of issues. You’ll also get a comfortable sense of what it feels like to be under hypnosis. The feeling of being in “trance” or under hypnosis is just like the feeling of daydreaming or a deep meditation.

Here is one of my favorite descriptions of what hypnosis is: “Hypnosis is simply the deliberate use of the imagination, paralleled with strong focus and relaxation. Done well, it can work in the same way as when you are dreaming – the mind’s ‘Reality Simulator’.” Roger Elliott

So just like when you get lost in a book you’re reading, or you’re driving and wondering what happened to the last 5 minutes, or you become engrossed in a movie you’re watching…these are all examples of what it feels like to be in a state of hypnosis. You have full control, you can hear everything and the fun part is just relaxing and knowing that you’re focused attention is shifting something that you are wanting on a very deep level.

Here is a short list of areas that hypnotherapy can address:
-change eating habits
-reduce pain and enhance healing
-stop unwanted behaviors and habits
-bolster confidence
-eliminate fears and anxiety
-increase your motivation and focus
-alter belief systems and thought patterns
-reduce stress
-adjust attitudes about money
-clarity and optimism about your business
-finish what you started
…and many more!

Disclaimer:  In addition to being a Certified Professional Coach and an Energy Leadership Master Practitioner through iPEC, I am also certified by, and a member of the International Board of Clinical Practitioners. I do not attempt to treat or diagnose disease or mental disorders of any kind. The modalities of Hypnosis, TIME Techniques, EFT and NLP in no way replaces standard medical procedures, but work in conjunction with them by freeing the patient of feelings and attitudes that may be inhibiting his or her natural immunizing or other vital processes.

Hypnosis for example, can help create strong mental expectancy and reduces stress, thereby normalizing the action of the autonomic nervous system. It is in no way a substitute for conventional medicine. Through hypnosis, one uses the natural faculties of the mind to create a positive attitude and boost the immune system, allowing the client to make the most of any medical help available.
